Masterworks is an early-stage Fintech platform for investing in blue-chip, multi-million dollar artworks. The company, which is currently based in New York City at 497 Broome Street, is rapidly scaling its operations. Masterworks currently has over 100,000 users signed-up on its platform and is growing at more than 11,000 per month. “Blue-chip” art (defined as the top 100 artists in terms of sales volume) has outperformed the S&P 500 by 180% since 2000. Prior to Masterworks, only extremely wealthy investors were able to invest in multi-million dollar paintings. Masterworks makes it possible for anyone to allocate capital to this exciting asset class.

The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate looking to explore and gain access to Equity Sales opportunities and the required licensing needed. This internship can help you gain a footing in the Finance, Art, and Sales areas of a unique and interesting industry.

Position Overview
We are seeking Equity Sales Interns to join our team. You will be following up with interested members to schedule appointments for our Sales Group. You will closely collaborate with our growing sales team and have the opportunity to advance into a senior sales position that pays over 80K annually. In this internship, you will be exposed to a growing startup that focuses on bringing Blue-Chip Art ownership to the public. Skills you will learn include selling, workings of the Blue-Chip Art market, and how to work in a fast-growing startup.

Requirements or Skill Sets

  • Ability to call and engage prospective clients and help them to schedule appointments with our membership team
  • Build rapport quickly, within minutes on a phone call
  • Use a customer relationship management tool to track and score leads within the pipeline.
  • Work with the rest of the sales team to create an environment of teamwork and meeting goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment that is experiencing significant growth
  • Exceptional phone skills and work ethic
  • Desire to learn financial sales and startup skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must be able to work in our NYC Office / Gallery

  • Masterworks systems and processes
  • Complete 150+ outbound calls a day
  • Understand and deliver Masterworks Call Scheduling pitch


  • $15 per hour
  • Potential to grow into an 80K Sales position
